Lunch Menu

What's for lunch?

Linscott Charter School's lunch menu and school lunches are provided by the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. Check your calendar because at times our schedule differs from the PVUSD and when PVUSD is closed there will be no school lunches available. Your child can order lunch daily during morning attendance. Each student may have a separate pre-paid punchcard on file in the office for lunches and milks. Adults can sign up for adult lunches through the district by signing the whiteboard across from the office before 8:30 a.m. and giving payment to the office.

Inexpensive, healthy meals prepared in the school's kitchen are a favorite fundraiser for several of Linscott's classrooms. To see this year's lunch fundraisers schedule, visit our Fundraising page.

Childcare and Preschool

In the past, Linscott has offered childcare to parents working in the classroom. As our parent community has changed, this option no longer became viable. Presently Linscott does not offer childcare on parent workdays. However, parents can consider enrolling younger children in Watsonville Cooperative Preschool, which is is also located in the Linscott School building. The WCP is not affiliated with Linscott, though their early histories are entwined. Contact WCP directly for information on programs and enrollment.

Independent Study

Linscott, like all public schools, is funded through the State of California by Average Daily Attendance. When your child is absent, the school is not given your child's allotment for that day. However, the school still needs to run and your child's teacher still needs to be paid. Therefore, we encourage parents to pursue Independent Study for all planned and unplanned absences.

If you are planning an absence, please meet with your child's teacher and discuss plans for Independent Study. If your child is briefly sick, meet with your teacher upon your child's return to school. If your child is likely to have a long illness, please meet with your teacher to plan Independent Study in advance.

Independent Study forms can be found in the file cabinet near the West Playground exit, or on this website on the Parent Forms & Downloads page. Independent Study monthly deadlines can be found in the Parents section in Community.
