At Linscott, the word "community" describes more than a group of families whose children happen to attend a school. Linscott parents have chosen Linscott in part because of the community that we offer. At Linscott, parents are in the classrooms on a regular basis, and are part of the decision-making processes at all levels. Linscott's staff are partners with the parents, training the parents to be valuable aides in the classroom with clearly defined parent/teacher roles. And Linscott students complete the community. Linscott families have chosen the school because of the unique educational environment that it offers.

Linscott Charter School is also actively involved in the community outside the school. Our spring Apple Blossom Run is an event that draws participants from throughout the community. Linscott depends on the donations of the many great businesses in our area for our Auction.

Community Curriculum

Linscott's Community Curriculum spans the gap between the school's academic goals and the classroom social structure. We have developed a comprehensive program to integrate social awareness and responsibility into our classrooms. Please visit our Community Curriculum page for details and the full text of the LCC.
